The debt of the blood of children and teachers martyred in an attack by “brutal terrorists” in Peshawar’s Army Public School on December 16 last year will be repaid by purging the motherland of terrorists, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Tuesday in his message on the first anniversary of “heartrending tragedy”.
He said that the everlasting sacrifices of the APS martyrs would never be forgotten, and the government would not rest content till elimination of the last terrorist from the country.
The CM said that the great sacrifices of the martyred children had provided new courage and determination in the war against terrorists who, he added, were weakened due to the Operation Zarb-e-Azb and the National Action Plan.
Sharif said that it was the worst kind of terrorism in the history of the world in which a number of innocent children were killed. He said that every Pakistani from Peshawar to Karachi was grieved over this tragic incident of terrorism.
The CM further said that those beasts trying to promote ignorance could not stop the children from getting education through this cowardly act. He also said that the innocent children sacrificed their precious lives for the achievement of a greater cause.
