The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday issued notices to Customs officials on a petition filed by supermodel Ayyan Ali against her indictment and called the record from the trial court.
Justice Abdul Sami Khan heard the petition through which the model challenged the decision of the Customs Court, Rawalpindi.
During the hearing, Ayyan’s lawyer Sardar Latif Khosa submitted that a baseless case had been registered against his counsel and there was not any evidence present on the basis of which she had been indicted. He contended that the ASF did not have the authority to detain his client, and requested the court to cancel her indictment. Upon this, the court issued notices to the Customs officials for December 22.
