Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Qamar Zaman Chaudhry said that zero-tolerance policy has been adopted to root out corruption.

In an interview on Monday, he said an internal accountability process had also been initiated in NAB. He said eight cases had been lodged against NAB officials. Over 30 cases had also been filed under efficiency and discipline rules.

He said a mechanism has been devised to complete the entire process of investigation and prosecution within ten months. He said Pakistan will host SAARC conference on anti-corruption.

He said MoU will be signed with China and Malaysia for sharing each other’s experience in curbing corruption.
