Gas load-shedding of up to 18 hours has irked domestic consumers across Punjab, especially Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial, Pasrur, Chawinda and Badiana areas.
In this respect, women held separate protest demonstrations in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial, Uggoki, Chawinda, Badiana and Pasrur on Monday.
They complained that the pressure of gas remained very low in the rest of time due to which they were unable to even prepare meals to eat.
The protesting women said they had gas for two hours daily after every midnight due to which they had to wake up in the night to cook their meals.
They said that gas outages and low gas pressure had been irking them since the past month and the situation had now become unbearable as there was no gas available to run their kitchens in severe cold and dense foggy weather.
The protesting women said that there were 16 to 18 hours load-shedding of gas for the domestic consumers in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial, Chawinda, Badiana, Pasrur and surrounding areas. When contacted, SNGPL officials refused to give any comment.
