Anti-polio campaign begins in Rawalpindi

Anti Polio campaign has started in Rawalpindi for which the health department has set up 1,773 teams to vaccinate over 700,000 children in Rawalpindi.

According to details 111 transit point and 269 fix centres have been established at all health centres and crossings of different roads and on all the exit and entry points of the city, whereas 7,50,900 children would be vaccinated.

After the three days Polio campaign, the next two days have been fixed to monitor the performance, arrangements and to find out children if anyone has been left out.

To monitor polio campaign 343 area in charge and 203 union council MOs are assigned duties and no slackness by health workers will be tolerated during the drive, said Executive Officer Health Dr.Arshad Ali Sabir.
