Islamabad Police have arrested 14 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered two vehicles, 18 wine bottles, weapons and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said.
He said that Secretariat police nabbed Haider and recovered two 30 bore pistols along with ammunition from him while Wasas Ameen and Nadeem were apprehended for decanting gas in cylinders illegally.
Tarnol police nabbed Mohsin Khan, Abdullah and Nurul Basir for having one 12 bore gun, a 30 bore pistol, and 7mm rifle respectively. Sabzi Mandi police team arrested Abbar and Shireen Khan during patrolling and recovered 420 gram heroin from them.
Khana police held Iftikar and recovered 15 litre of wine from him while Aabapra police arrested Haroon Ayaz and Danish Masin in possession of 450 gram heroin and 12 wine bottles respectively.
Margallah police arrested Fanuen Kachubonifac for having six wine bottles. Anti-car lifting cell of Islamabad police recovered tempered car (LEB-3059) from Yunus and Aftab while an accused Aqeel was held by Sabzi Mandi police for driving tempered car (MNG-2441). Loi Bher police apprehended Sardar Khan for having one 30 bore pistol. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
Meanwhile, four professional alm-seekers were also nabbed by Islamabad Police. SSP Islamabad Sajid Kinai has appreciated this overall performance and directed all station house officers to take effective measures for curbing activities of anti-social elements.
