Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said on Sunday that the trust the masses had reposed in Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) leadership during local bodies (LB) elections would help in starting new era of development and progress in the country.
Addressing a ceremony held in his honour, Ahsan Iqbal said that the success of PML-N in recently held LB elections showed that masses had pinned all their hopes with the ruling party. He said that the party, too, would spare no efforts to resolve the problems faced by the people at grass roots level.
He vowed that the development process started by the incumbent government would continue at the same pace and that more projects of public interest would be included in the development programme of the government.
The minister thanked people for their trust in PML-N and assured that it would not disappoint them and would utilize all available resources for their welfare and the uplift of the common man’s living standard.
The ceremony was attended by MPAs Khawaja Muhammad Waseem Butt, Rana Abdul Manan, PML-N Narowal President Malik Tariq Awan and others.
