Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and Opposition leader in National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Shah on Sunday lashed out at the government and asked why only Sindh was being targeted in the name of corruption.
While talking to media in Sukkur, Khursheed Shah said that he had already warned PM Nawaz that his own people would harm him.
He clarified that PPP has not involved itself into any clash with the government on the matter of Rangers’ power. However, he stressed that only Sindh should not be targeted while conducting the operation.
The PPP leader also said that even the interior minister would ‘confess’ to his crimes if he was kept in custody for 15 days.
He also criticised Imran Khan’s visit to India and said that Khan should give priority to his own nation’s pride. He termed Khan’s move of asking for an appointment from Modi ‘inaccurate.’
Khursheed Shah also praised Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah, said that he is a straightforward person, and was of the opinion that the Rangers’ issue should be resolved with mutual consent and in a healthy environment.
