Punjab govt to establish 1,000 population welfare centers

 

The Punjab government would soon establish 1,000 population welfare centers across Punjab, out of which work for the early establishment of 250 such centers is in progress, where people would be sensitised about controlling population growth, Punjab Population Welfare Director General Naeemud Din Rathor said on Sunday.

The director general said while talking to local officials during his visit to population welfare department that the country could not develop without reining in the population growth and added that all the segments of the society should come forward to play their role in motivating the people to control the population growth by adopting family planning methods.

Sialkot Population Welfare District Officer Nadeem Ahmed Chatta, local notables and journalists were present on the occasion.
