Despite tall claims, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has failed to change police culture in southern districts of the province where basic rights of the common man were being violated by the police.
According to details, in Dera Ismail Khan, the ancestral district of JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, heirs of the victims of target killings were being harassed by police.
The affected families alleged that when they approach police to get justice, instead of hearing them, the police officials mentally torture them through different tactics.
They blamed that police was backing the criminals and common man fears to visit police station due to misbehaviour and rough attitude of police officials.
The affectees appealed to the provincial government and IG KP Nasir Durrani to take notice of the violations of rights of the general public by police in Southern districts and take measures to bring betterment in police attitude.
