Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Saturday said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan had discussed just trivial matters with Indian Prime Minister Narindra Modi and ignored the vital issues of Kashmir, Sir Creek and Siachin.

Talking to the media after addressing a Jang Group seminar on the “Role of Islamic banking in the economic development of Pakistan”, he said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman should have dilated on all the all important issues but he ended up talking about cricket during his meeting with Prime Minister Modi.

“Imran Khan’s visit to India was that of a sportsman and not as a politician,” he said in response to a question.

The PTI chief, he said, had started following Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s doctrine on the foreign policy and he would soon begin following the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s policy on internal affairs of the country as well.

About the Rangers powers in Sindh, Pervaiz Rashid said all the political parties had supported the operation in Karachi.

Earlier addressing the seminar, Rashid said international economy and the indigenous economy could not be treated separately. Both the economies were connected with each other and as such Pakistan’s economy was linked with international economy, he added.

He said the value of money was determined by the ways adopted a bank to sustain the worth of capital deposited by clients for a long period of time. The bank took measures to stop the capital’s devaluation.

The federal minister said the services of the bankers, who had devised ways to check the devaluation of capital, were praiseworthy. He said he was praying for the success of Islamic banking in the country.

Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar presented a souvenir to the information minister on the occasion.
