In a tragic incident on Friday, eight persons of a family died as fire engulfed a hut near Gorakh Hill Station in Dadu district of Sindh.
According to police sources, a family including a watchman of the hill station, his wife, three daughters and four sons were residing in the hut. The family lighted the fire due to cold weather. Blaze suddenly erupted inside the hut, scorching the eight members of the family to death on the spot.
The deceased were identified as Sharifan Bibi, her daughters Momal, Zarima, Sakina and four sons. Three were identified as Waris, Palwan, Barkat. Watchman Jhandu Aalkhani was critically injured in the incident. Rescue teams arrived at the scene and shifted the bodies and injured person to a nearby hospital.
