Passport office seeks police help against touts

The Passport Office sought help from police and district administration against touts who they complained operate freely outside their office to lure people and extort money.

Assistant Director Passport Office Riaz Hussain Maral told APP that a number of people remain outside the office and engage people before they could enter the office. He said a request had been sent to district administration and police to seek their help against touts.

He urged people to beware of such elements and contact officials of the passport office in case of any complaint.

Maral said that the office also had its reservations on Friday Bazaar held near the office premises every week. He said that the office had shared its security related concerns with the DCO, RPO, SHO Police Station Shah Rukn-e-Alam, and TMO Shah Rukn-e-Alam seeking their help to get their problems resolved.
