Hamza stresses strengthening of institutions than individuals

PML-N central leader and MNA Hamza Shehbaz has said that the politics of negative propaganda and protest has died and the elements misleading the people have been rejected.

He said this while holding a meeting with newly-elected chairmen, vice chairmen and councilors of Vehari and Pakpattan districts who assured him their full support. On this occasion, independent candidates elected on various seats announced to join PML-N.

He said that the people have expressed full confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in local bodies’ elections.

He said that no effort will be spared for the strengthening of local bodies so that problems of the people could be resolved at their doorsteps. He said that only those candidates will be brought forward as Mayors and Deputy Mayors in districts who could develop as nurseries of democratic institutions. He said that strengthening of institutions rather than individuals is necessary so that a safe future of the country could be ensured and people could progress.

Hamza Shehbaz said that the prime minister and the Punjab chief minister are making sincere efforts for resolving the problems being faced by the country and besides overcoming shortage of electricity till 2017, other issues will also be resolved so that PML-N could again go to the court of the public in 2018. He said the PML-N has been fully supported by the masses at every level throughout the province and the politics of hollow slogans has met its logical end.

He said that there is a need for the newly-elected representatives to come up to the expectations of the masses. He said that holding of Heart of Asia Conference by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is a big success of Pakistan at diplomatic level and now the era of peace and prosperity will usher in the country.

Hamza congratulated PML-N candidates on their glorious victory in Vehari and Pakpattan districts and said that they should elect Mayors and Deputy Mayors according to the party policy after elections on reserve seats. He said that the importance of local bodies is higher in far-flung areas where there is a greater need for solution of public problems at local level.
