ECP decides to conduct re-polling of postponed wards, UCs

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday decided to conduct re-polling of Local Government Elections on 17 December at those polling stations where elections were postponed for various reasons.

According to an official of the ECP, the LG elections would be held at 75 polling stations of Punjab and 80 of Sindh. He said that polling was stopped in first, second and third phase at these polling stations due to the security, misprinting of ballot papers, election symbols etc.

The ECP would conduct re-polling at eight polling stations of Ghotki, six Khairpur, nice Jacobabad, 14 Qambar Shahdadkot, five Kashmore, six Karachi, 15 Hyderabad, three Naushahro Feroze, 16 Tharparkar, two Tando Allahyar and single polling stations of Shikarpur, Thatta Sajawal and Badin.
