Two MPAs take oath in Sindh Assembly

As many as two MPAs took oath in the Sindh Assembly on Thursday, however, the speaker adjourned the sitting for today to pay respect to a sitting MPA who died recently.

According to details, the Sindh Assembly met one hour and 36 minutes late than its scheduled time of 10am with speaker Siraj Durrani in the chair.

However, the MQM lawmakers attended the House, ending their boycott, and the speaker greeted them. New elected MPA of PPP Noor Ahmed Bhurghri and PML-F MPA Jam Madad Ali Khan, restored by the Supreme Court of Pakistan, took oath which was administered by the speaker.

The speaker announced the panel of four chairman: Sardar Ahmed (MQM), Syed Murad Ali Shah (PPPP), Khursheed Ahmed Junejo (PPPP), and Mahtab Akbar Rashdi (PMl-F).

Senior Minister for Education Nisar Ahmed Khuhro tabled a motion that the House may be adjourned to pay respect to the sitting MPA Jameel Ahmed Bhurghri who has passed away recently. The House adopted the motion unanimously, and the speaker adjourned the House till Friday. Leaders of the House and Opposition also attended the session.
