PPP committed to protecting human rights: Bilawal

Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that his party was fully committed to the protection of human rights of every individual without any discrimination.

On the International Human Rights Day being observed today, the PPP chairman pledged a complete support to UNO theme “Our Rights. Our Freedoms. Always.” “To celebrate the day in 2015 around the globe, the PPP has always stood and struggled for the basic rights of the people. From frontline to the party workers, our commitment to human rights remains unshakable since party came into existence,” he added.

Bilawal pointed out that dictatorial regimes always trampled the basic human rights of the people of Pakistan during most of time since its independence and subjected the masses to lashes, imprisonments, tortures, forced exiles and other atrocities, but the PPP fought against each and every violation of human rights and sacrificed the lives of thousands of its workers including first elected Prime Minister Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, and first woman elected prime minister of Islamic World Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in the struggle for restoration of democracy and human rights. The PPP chairman vowed to continue the struggle for human rights of the people of Pakistan and all over the world.
