The federal government and Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Thursday submitted their reports in the Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding issuance of illegal licences of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).

According to reports, 450 licenses of CNG were issued during the tenure of former prime minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, while 200 licenses were issued during the tenure of former PM Raja Pervez Ashraf.

These reports were submitted before the three-bench judge of the apex court headed by Justice Saqib Nisar.

During the course of the hearing, the court noted that there wasn’t enough time on Thursday and so the case would be heard another day. The court adjourned the hearing of the case indefinitely.
