A death row prisoner will be hanged in Central Jail here on Friday (today).
Jail sources said here on Thursday that Muhammad Akram alias Taufail was sentenced to death by the trial court on the charge of killing his rival Sarfraz in the limits of Peoples Colony police station in March 1998.
The apex courts upheld the decision of lower court whereas the president also turned down the mercy petition of the convict.
The District and Sessions Judge issued black warrants and directed superintendent Central Jail to hang the condemned prisoner on December 11.
