24 uplift schemes worth Rs 16.25 billion approved for Punjab

The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved 24 development schemes of various development sectors with an estimated cost of Rs 16.25 billion.
These schemes were approved in the 17th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2015-16 presided over by Punjab Chairman Planning and Development Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.
According to the spokesman, the approved development schemes included: Water Supply Pipeline from Kudwala to Banna Post-Cholistan, Bahawalpur at the cost of Rs 652.06 million, Construction of nullahs from Sublime Chowk to Uggoki More to Sahowala Bridge to Syphon Nullah Aik Silakot at the cost of Rs 394.111 million, Sewerage / Drainage Scheme Malikwal City District M.B. Din at the cost of Rs. 237.200 million, Development of Public Park at main boulevard Gulberg and Ferozpur Road Lahore at the cost of Rs. 210.421 million, Establishment of Project Management Unit (PMU) and hiring of Consultant for construction of General Hospital for Specialized Facilities at Murree.
