The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday issued notices to both parties for December 17 in Dr Asim Hussain’s bail plea case.
Dr Asim’s lawyer told the court that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials were investigating the whole case. He said that Dr Asim was under the custody of police and there was apprehension that the NAB might arrest him.
Subsequently, the court adjourned the hearing till December 17 by issuing notices to the both parties.
Earlier, the court had once again issued notices to the Rangers director general (DG), inspector general (IG) and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on the plea filed by Dr Asim’s mother.
Asim is accused of providing shelter and treatment to target killers and terrorists in Ziauddin Hospital that he owns. After the 90-day remand expired, a case was launched against him in North Nazimabad Police Station. The case involves terrorism sections.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) members have also been nominated in the case.
