Islamabad Police have arrested eight outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered hashish, wine and stolen property from their possession, a police spokesman said.
According to details, Margalla police arrested Sheryar and recovered wine from him. On a tip-off, Karachi Company police apprehended six people involved in immoral activities. They were identified as Javed, Siddique, Kanwal Ayub, Fouzia, Tahira and Tahira Banu.
Khana police arrested a drug pusher Saleem and recovered 1.250 kilogram hashish from him. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway. Meanwhile six professional alm-seekers were also arrested and action has been initiated against them.
SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in the city and curb activities of anti-social elements.
