CM’s UK visit to open new era of investment: Mashhood

Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood has said that with the visit of Punjab chief minister and his team to United Kingdom, a new door for investment in education, energy, technical training, health and security filed has been opened.
British authorities have appreciated matchless progress in health and education sectors in Punjab, terming it exemplary for other developing countries. He said all credit for extra ordinary interest and seriousness on part of British authorities for Pakistan goes to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif who have rendered robust efforts to transfer fruit of development and progress to unprivileged class.
He expressed these views while talking to the media on his return from UK after completing a visit along with the Punjab chief minister. Mashhood said that Pakistani delegation called on British interior and exterior ministers and minister for international relations during this visit. The delegation also participated Pakistan-UK energy and infrastructure forum and World Congress of Overseas Pakistanis. He said that trade relations between Pakistan and UK have been immensely improved during last couple of years and we are sure that they would touch the figure of one billion pounds very soon. He maintained that agreements and MOUs signed between Punjab Education Department and University of London and British Council would yield positive results regarding standard of training and education in Punjab. It will enable students and teachers to broaden their vision and rise to the excellence in their careers.
Mashhood said the Punjab chief minister also held meeting with Department for International Development (DFID) whose authorities praised the projects of PEEF and PEF for providing education to more than 19,0000 students through financial assistance and Voucher Scheme.
