Rain spell likely in city from Wednesday

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Monday forecast a moderate rain spell in most parts of the province from Wednesday to Friday.

According to a spokesman of the PMD, continental air would prevail over most parts of the country during next 24 to 36 hours.

A western disturbance is likely to enter western parts of the country on Tuesday night to grip some areas of the country on Wednesday. It may persist till Friday morning. Under the influence of this weather system, Lahore and Gujranwala divisions may receive moderate rainfall during the mentioned period.

“Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country while foggy conditions are likely to prevail in Faisalabad, Sargodha, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Multan, Bahawalpur and Sukkur divisions during night and morning hours,” daily weather report said.

In the provincial capital, minimum temperature was recorded to be 9.5 degree Celsius while maximum remained 22 degree Celsius on Monday.
