Unidentified assailants set on fire a prayer leader in a Shikarpur neighbourhood on Monday, police officials said.
As per details, Sabir Hussain was set on fire while he was asleep at a mosque in Jamra area.
The officials said the assailants torched the prayer leader after dousing him with petrol and fled the scene. He was immediately ferried to the Civil Hospital Shikarpur, where according to medics, he was out of danger but 40 per cent of his body had been badly scorched.
A case has been registered against the unidentified assailants and investigation is in progress.
