A woman SHO of Rawalpindi police was suspended after she forced over 100 women constables of Islamabad police to live within premises of women police station for hours in Rawalpindi as they had been sent there for duty on the occasion of the local government elections, police source said.
After taking notice of situation, IG Islamabad Tahir Alam phoned CPO Rawalpindi, who himself visited the women police station where he found over 150 women police constables scrambling to find seating arrangements. The women constables had been forced to stand at the police station on order of SHO Khalida.
The CPO suspended SHO Khalida immediately. Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan has also taken notice of the issue and sought a report from RPO Rawalpindi.
