SU confers honorary degree on late Amin Fahim

In recognition to relentless contribution towards democratization of Pakistani politics and alma mater, the Sindh University has decided to award honorary degree posthumously to late Makhdoom Muhammad Amin Fahim.

It was resolved unanimously in a special meeting of Sindh University syndicate held yesterday presided over by Prof Dr Abida Taherani, Vice Chancellor, University of Sindh.

The degree will be conferred in forthcoming convocation of the university scheduled to be held on 19th December 2015. Besides, the meeting also resolved to name newly constructed boys hostel at Allama II Kazi campus Jamshoro and Library of Sindh University Bhit Shah campus after the name of late Makhdoom Sahib.

In recognition of lifelong democratic and literary contribution to the society of late Makhdoom Muhammad Amin Fahim, the meeting also resolved to set up a corner in the name of Makhdoom Amin Fahim at Institute of Sindhology, University of Sindh.

The meeting was attended by Justice (R) Deedar Hussain Shah, HEC representative Dr Altaf Shaikh, Syed Ghulam Nabi Shah, Prof Dr Syed Anwar Ali Shah, Prof Dr Sarfaraz Hussain Solangi, Prof Dr Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro, Prof Dr Parvez Ahmed pathan, Prof Dr Aslam Parvez Memon, Prof Dr Noor Muhammad Jamali, Prof Dr Arfana Begum Malah, Muhammad Nawaz Narejo, Dr Abdul Ghaffar Soomro, Jhamat Jethanand, Ahar Al Kazi and Registrar Ghulam Muhammad Bhutto.
