Body of an unidentified person was recovered from the Sihala police jurisdiction.
A passerby had spotted the body in the bushes near Japan Road. On getting information, a police party reached the area and shifted the body to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities.
According to police officials, the person was tortured to death. The motive behind the murder could not be ascertained till the filing of this report. The person aged between 40 and 45 years. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
