There has been a fashion since quite some time in some of the well-to-do particularly, to have one’s offspring born abroad.
One of the reasons could be nationality, though of late, the nationality-by-birth rule has been changed by certain countries.
Others within the stratospheric plush set say (and we believe them) that it’s not nationality why they do this but because they don’t trust the local healthcare system. Nothing less than what’s good for the gora log will do.
Well, one such couple in London were turned back from the hospital on grounds that the lady was not due just about yet. On the way back from the hospital to where they were staying, mother nature did her thing and the lady not only started having contractions but ended up actually giving birth to her child! In a black cab!
Talk about gora standards.

Shehbaz Sharif was in the UK recently, where he was feted by many British dignitaries.
Some within their official trade and commerce apparatus were particularly warm because they want a piece of the CPEC corridor pie and are sounding out the possibility of British investment in the area. One such dignitary was effusive in his praise for Shehbaz Sharif, whom he called a “great reformer”. To which Sharif said he was humbled by such praise but would accept only for the sake of the country.
Yes, the Sharifs wear modesty awkwardly.
But at another event, one of the British speakers, who had done extensive business with Pakistan, said he had been to Sialkot many times, at which Sharif, otherwise not known to crack many jokes, quipped, “Munda Sialkotia!”
He then proceeded to explain the joke, though one wonders if it would have been lost in translation.
