The Rangers apprehended three fake polling staffers including one impersonating as presiding officer at a polling station established in a private school near Nishtar Park, off Soldier Bazar.

As per details shared by Rangers spokesman on Saturday, one Ashraf Abbass, a mechanic by profession, was found carrying a fake card showing himself as a presiding officer of the designated polling station.

Muhammad Hassan, impersonating as assistant presiding officer from the same polling station, was also taken into custody with a tampered ECP card in his possession. He was found factually an electrician.

Shah Zaman, member of a local political party, was the third person arrested from the premises of the same polling station for posing as an ECP staff facilitating the two of his accomplices. The Rangers using their magisterial powers granted to them by the ECP awarded three months imprisonment punishment to the culprits who were later sent to jail.
