Over 20 injured brought to govt hospitals on polling day

More than 20 injured people were brought to different hospitals in Karachi on Saturday including four gunshot victims.

According to provincial health department officials, 17 cases were reported at Sindh Government Hospital Korangi and they mainly comprised those hit by stones, bamboo stick and baton.

One Syed Iftikhar Ali Shah, 25, was received with gunshot injury at Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre from Nathakhan Goth, Shah Faisal Colony. Four other injured were also provided needed support at JPMC casualty department, said the officials. It was mentioned that victims were inflicted with varied categories of injuries but not of any serious nature.
