City Traffic Police took action against 925 pillion riders and imposed a fine of Rs 185,000 on Thursday night.
A traffic police spokesman said here Friday the district administration had imposed a ban on pillion-riding across the district on Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).
He said 123 motorbikes were impounded in D-ground traffic sector, 77 in traffic sector Sargodha Road, 17 in Civil Line, 35 in General Bus Stand, 113 in Millat Town, 40 in Clock Tower Chowk,75 in Kotwali, 92 in GTS, 30 in Gulberg, 21 in Peoples Colony, 12 in Samanabad and 36 in Abdullahpur traffic sectors.
