Rangers on Friday arrested 11 felons including terrorists of outlawed organisations during a targeted operation against criminal elements in Karachi. The prime suspect of the Safoora attack incident, Abdullah Mansoori alias Mansoor Pathan, and a unit in-charge of a political party was also amongst those arrested during the targeted action.
The Safoora incident’s central suspect was arrested from Sohrab Goth area during action conducted by officials of the intelligence department. According to the spokesperson for Sindh Rangers, three terrorists were arrested from hideouts of banned organisations in areas of Gulberg and Lyari. The raid was conducted on a secret tip off. Four terrorists were also arrested from Liaqatabad and Site area during a raid. A large cache of ammunition was recovered from their possession.
A search operation was conducted by Rangers against criminals near Sindhi hotel and took three suspects into custody including a unit in-charge of a political party. The suspects have been shifted to an unknown location for interrogation. Rangers surrounded the areas of Qasimabad and Azamnagar and conducted a search operation for the arrest of five wanted felons. Sources said that Rangers searched specific homes during the action.
