The investigation into the Military Police (MP) attack case has gotten a new angle as 3 eyewitnesses of the incident contacted the police. Police have now started preparing a rough sketch of the attackers with the help of the eyewitnesses.

MP in Karachi was earlier attacked by unknown assailants as they opened fire on a MP vehicle during which two personnel were martyred. Police officials say that the armed men did not use their mobile phone before or after the attack.

Director General (DG) Rangers Sindh Major Bilal Akbar has stated that the culprits of the attack will soon be apprehended. He further added that they will not allow terrorists to reorganize in the Karachi. On the other hand the DG Rangers also stated that a fool proof security arrangement had been setup for the upcoming Local Government (LG) polls in Karachi and citizens should come out and cast their votes without any fear of an attack.

A 9-member committee headed by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South Dr Jameel was formed earlier to probe the attack on the Military Police during a high level meeting in Karachi of the law enforcement institutions.
