Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) on Friday foiled a terror bid by seizing a huge cache of weapons near Darsamand.
Sources privy to the LEA said that three machine guns, 32 rockets, eight mortar bombs and more than 4,000 bullets have been seized.
Earlier in September, a councillor belonging to Awami National Party (ANP) among two was killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast along the road in Hangu’s Tora Wari area. Another two were reported wounded in the attack.
Bomb Disposal Squad had foiled another terror bid in Tal Bazaar area in the recent past where a device weighing at least five kgs was seized.
