Due to bureaucratic errors, many teachers have received two letters to perform their election duties in two different polling stations in different districts of Karachi, simultaneously, said sources.

They said even an arrest warrant was issued of a Sindhi Language Teacher (SLT), who requested not to disclose him name, serving at GBSS Bhittaibad, for allegedly non-compliance of the orders to perform his duty as a presiding officer. The warrants were issued by the office of the returning officer union committee No 10 Gazi Dawood, District Malir.

The same teacher had also received the letter in which he was asked to perform his duty as an assistant presiding officer at the polling station in district East. As per official sources, the concerned office had sent duty letters of presiding and assistant presiding officers even to some teachers who retired in 2013 or even died. This type of errors made by the returning officers who are the assistant commissioners has spread unrest among the teachers.

Despite they were provided new lists of teaching staff by the all HODs of the schools and colleges, old lists were used by them which widely affected male and female teaching staff who have been ordered to perform their duties at two places simultaneously.
