- Bikak, a Lyari gangster, is involved in attack on Rashid Godil, police officials
Shahid Bikak, a wanted terrorist and the main suspect in the attack on Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Rashid Godil, is reportedly competing for the slot of chairman in union council-44, making mockery of both politics and law enforcement.
As per reports, Bikak has been found involved in heinous crimes, illegal occupation of explosives and an attack on former president Asif Ali Zardari’s protocol officer Bilal Sheikh. The suspect also attempted to murder MQM leader Rashid Godil in August.
In UC-44, banners of independent candidate Bikak are hanging in front of the Gulbahar Police Station. Despite his massive election campaign, police officials have failed to arrest him, even after announcing a cash prize for offering help leading to arrest of Bikak, a Lyari gangster.
An anti-terrorism court has re-issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Bikak.
Earlier, law enforcers conducted a raid on the directives of the court to apprehend Bikak. The action however only led to the arrest of a close associate of the suspect from his relatives’ house.
