The first look of Tere Bin Laden 2 has finally been revealed and guess what? There is no Ali Zafar in it!
The Pakistani singer who played the lead role in the 2010 prequel Tere Bin Laden, has been replaced by host-turned-actor Manish Paul in the second instalment, reports Pinkvilla.
Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the film is expected to be based along similar lines as the previous one, which was a spoof on Osama Bin Laden. The film took a dig at America’s obsession over the world’s most-wanted terrorist.
The poster of Tere Bin Laden – Dead or Alive shows Osama’s doppelganger sitting on a rocket with a newspaper headline reading, “Bin Laden Dead”.
The film’s first instalment was received well by the audience and critics alike but it was banned in Pakistan due to its ‘objectionable’ content.
However, the reason for Ali’s exit from the sequel is still unknown.
The film will star newcomers Pradhuman Singh and Sikandar and is slated to release on February 19 next year.
