Nawaz, Modi lack leadership qualities: Imran

PTI Chairman Imran Khan has said that only leadership qualities can bring the masses out of problems but Indian and Pakistani leaderships have no such qualities.

Addressing a conference at a local hotel on Thursday, Khan said that certain qualities should be in a leader but currently two democratic personalities –Indian Prime Minister Narendar Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif- have no democratic vision to lead the masses. He said policies of China on basis of peace steer the country out of poverty and currently China is vibrant on the map of the world.

He lauded late South African leader Nelson Mandela for his polices. “He remained in jail for 27 years and played role of a leader to pull his country out of problems and crises,” Khan said. He said there is dire need of leadership in India and Pakistan, and “I can play better role of a democratic leader in place of Nawaz Sharif who arranged a secret meeting with Narendar Modi putting the qualities of leader at risk.”

He lauded the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police and said KP commercialised the rest house and income is being spent on the local community for their welfare.

He claimed that around 600,000 saplings in KP have started to grow up. “On other hand Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has not decided to work on the climate change as Pakistan is among top 10 counties which are facing climate change,” he added. He said in KPK local community has been involved in making the province green and around Rs 15,000 are being given to a labourer for this purpose.

Criticising FIA and NADRA, Imran said both are not working independently. Replying to a question, Khan said he is following Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) as his main leader. He said he always learnt from his mistakes in cricket and is practicing the same in the field of politics.
