State Minister for Health Services, Saira Afzal Tarar has said that the government has clear manifesto to address issues related to growing population in Pakistan.
She was addressing launching of the state of World Population 2015 Report here on Thursday. The minister said the government always welcomes its UN partners’ cooperation for provision of basic rights to education and health for females.
She said we are now moving from family planning programme towards family health and family wellbeing based on human, women, child rights and responsible citizenship.
She said the government is framing a programme in the light of Islamic injunctions as enshrined in the Holy Quran. She said growing population of the country put immense pressure on limited resources of Pakistan for economic development.
