Two state of the art hospitals including dental hospital and cancer hospital will be set up in Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Islamabad at the cost of Rs 22 billion.
Sources said that ECNEC has accorded approval to release first instalment of Rs 50 million in relation to construction of cancer hospital. Foreign aid will also be provided for completion of these two projects. Cancer hospital and dental hospital will be built at the cost of Rs 19 billion and Rs 3 billion respectively.
The hospitals will be constructed within two and half years. Consultant doctors will be appointed for cancer hospital. Sources said all the arrangements have been finalized for starting work and foundation stone laying ceremony will be held soon.
