Mark Siegel to be available on video link on Jan 20

Mark Siegel an American journalist would be available through video link on 20 January 2016.

Foreign Office official informed the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), about the proposed date of Mark Siegel for cross examination on his statement given a few weeks before regarding the murder case of the former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

According to details, ATC while hearing the murder case reserved the decision on a petition filed by the lawyer of the prosecution witness Ishfaq Khan for cross examination of the statement.

However, a written statement of the Foreign Office (FO), regarding proposed schedule of Siegel for his cross examination on the statement, was submitted to the court.

The court had asked the FO to arrange a schedule for recording Siegel’s statement through video link so that his cross examination could be held.

Besides the lawyers of Pervez Musharraf, Special Public Prosecutor of the federal government M.Azhar Chaudhry were also present in the court for hearing of the case.

ATC Judge Rai Muhammad Ayub Marth postponed the proceedings of the case till 7 December.
