Two new polio cases surfaced in Karachi on Monday total number of polio cases detected across the country to 45.

National Health Department sources said that two children hailing from UC V and VI of Gudap Town of Karachi were found affected with polio virus.

Despite vaccination campaigns in all four provinces and tribal areas, polio virus hasn’t been brought under control and cases continue to surface across the country. People expressing concern over the situation have urged the government and health authorities to take extraordinary steps to end the menace of polio from the country.
