The Election Tribunal (ET) Lahore has imposed fine amounting to Rs 10,000 on PML-N MPA Khawaja Suleman Rafiq for not appearing before it for recording his statement.
Judge Rashi Qamar of ET took up the case for hearing on Tuesday. Khawaja Suleman Raffiq did not appear before it despite issuance of directives by the tribunal.
PTI candidate Murad who suffered defeat in election and his counsel informed the tribunal that Rafiq is using dilatory tactics to prolong the matter and he is not appearing for recording his statement despite being summoned by the tribunal.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till December 4.
