Green Line Project to be completed by December 2016, NA body told

The National Assembly Standing Committee on Communications met on Tuesday in the office of the chief secretary (Sindh) Karachi under the Chairmanship of Sufyan Yusuf, MNA.

The committee recommended that the issue of double toll tax at Hyderabad should be resolved on the priority basis. The committee directed that the safety measures would be ensured on M-9 Project.

The committee was informed that the PC-I of the Green Line Project was approved by ECNEC at rationalised cost of Rs 16,085 million and the project should be completed in December, 2016.The committee recommended that the representative of KMC, KWB and K Electric should be invited in the next meeting to resolve the relocation of utilities issues on Green Line Project. The meeting was attended by MNAs Mr Chaudhry Khalid Javaid Warraich, Dr Darshan, Mr Nazir Ahmed Bughio, Mr Ramesh Lal, Mr Salim Rehman, Engr Hamid-ul-HaqKhalik, Molana Qamar Uddin and senior officers of the ministry of communications.
