State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has expressed grave concerns over rifts in PML-N over awarding of tickets to candidates in local bodies (LB) polls.
Talking to the media here on Tuesday, he pointed out that in at least 85 Union Councils of Multan candidates belonging to PML-N were contesting against each other in the LB polls.
However, he was hopeful that candidates nominated by the party leadership would be successful in the LB elections and those using the party name for personal gains would face defeat.
The minister said that he supports the decisions of PML-N’s central leadership and will comply with the directives of party’s chief.
He urged the party office-bearers to shun the differences and join hands to strengthen the party. He said everybody has the right to lead and Bilawal Bhutto should also lead Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) as per party agenda and aspirations of the party leaders and workers.
