The police and Rangers arrested seven terrorists of banned outfits and two target killers during separate actions besides confiscating weapons and other valuables from their possession on Sunday.
The Rangers spokesman said that the paramilitary troops reacting to an intelligence report conducted operation against anti-state elements in Bhimpura locality of the metropolis city of Karachi. He said during operation three terrorists of a defunct organisation were apprehended with weapons.
Meanwhile, police personnel conducted a raid in Karachi SITE area and took as many as four terrorists belonging to a banned outfit into custody. The detainees have been identified as Imran, Raheem, Taj and Raz Muhammad, all belonging to Afghanistan. The officers have also claimed of confiscating huge cache of weapons from the possession of the criminals. Two accomplices of the suspects have been also killed in Afghanistan and Punjab.
Sindh Rangers arrested two target killers besides recovering arms and other snatched valuables on Sunday. The spokesman said that the paramilitary troops, reacting to secret information, conducted operation in Babar Market locality of Landhi Karachi during which exchange of fire took place.
During crackdown after exchange of fire, the Rangers arrested two target killers of MQM along with a LMG, other arms, snatched mobile phones and looted valuables. The detained target killers were being interrogated and important revelations were expected.
