Some have bemoaned that a majority of the poor are finding it difficult to keep their life intact due to high prices, low salaries, lack of proper jobs etc.
How can jobs be created when both industry and agriculture, the two sectors of economy that can provide jobs, are down on their knees. How can prices come down if industrial and agricultural production is the victim of power and water shortages. Only a mega dam can give us both power and water in the quantities required.
You can’t have the cake and eat it too; you can’t keep opposing the only mega dam that could have been commissioned over 20 years ago, and yet blame the government and pose to be the champion of the poor.
