KP govt granted over Rs 450m funds to JI ahead of May LB polls: report

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government dished out funds amounting to Rs 450 million to MPAs of its coalition partner, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), before the local government elections, a private news channel reported on Saturday.

According to the report, in only three constituencies of upper and lower Dir Rs 454 million were disbursed in April and May with the LB polls due to begin in May.

Not only the funds were granted but development work was also started on immediate basis.

The report discloses that development work of more than Rs 150 million was carried out in the constituency of senior minister Inayatullah Khan whereas PK-93 constituency of former MPA Malik Behram and PK-92 also underwent development work of over Rs 120 million and Rs 10 million, respectively.

On the contrary, Qaumi Watan Party’s (QWP) MPA Bakht Baidar Khan was completely ignored in the process as no development work was done in his area during the two months.

Reacting to the situation, Bakht Baidar Khan has decided to raise the issue in provincial assembly.

Well election is coming and every party candidate will be participate rather parents should also be allowed to visit the school clinic once in a blue moon when time allows as they get to see whatever happens there and are assured that their children are getting the right treatment and are being served by qualified people. By so doing they are able to turn up very fast when they are called to assist in anything to do with the school clinic.
