800 Sikh pilgrims leave Wahga for India

A special train carrying 800 Sikh pilgrims left Wahga Railway Station Lahore for India Sunday morning.
The Sikh pilgrims returned after attending the birth anniversary ceremonies of their religion’s founder Baba Guru Nanak at Nankana Sahib. Evacuee Property Trust Board Chairman Siddiqul Farooq and senior officials of the board saw off the pilgrims at the station. Speaking on the occasion, he said another two special trains will take about 2,000 Sikh pilgrims back to their country.
Speaking before their departure, the pilgrims expressed satisfaction over the best arrangements made for the ceremonies and for maintenance of their holy places in Pakistan. They also thanked the people and government of Pakistan for the generous hospitality extended to them during their visit.
